Welcome to Derby Methodist Circuit


We are a group of 22 churches in and around Derby, including four ecumenical churches and a Chinese-language congregation plus the newly set up Susanna Wesley House in Derby city centre  Together with Christians of other churches, we seek to be true to our calling to live as disciples of Jesus Christ, and to witness to the healing power of his love and forgiveness as we serve him in our local communities.

  • Our Spark to a Flame Service of Alternative Worship is held at 10.00am on the second Sunday of most months. This provides an informal worshiping and learning environment for both children and adults. It runs in the large hall in parallel with the morning service in the Chapel and normally attracts about 60 people.  The next event will be on 11th December when the theme

Pentecost was celebrated by the Circuit with a Thanksgiving Service marking ‘0’ Anniversaries of Accreditation for three of our Local Preachers: Deacon Rosemary Bell (60 years), Mr Eric Rodgers (60 years) and Deacon Pat Moore (50 years), all being presented with their certificates by Mr Philip Holmes, Nottingham & Derby District Local Preachers’ Secretary.
