The Summer Fair on July 15th was a successful day raising £400.00 for Church Funds. We welcomed some of the local people and also friends from the Circuit.

We had a very enjoyable Harvest Festival with Phil Royle leading Worship on the Sunday. On the Saturday we decorated the Church with harvest gifts and in the evening had a very successful ‘Bugs and Spuds’ evening. Much enjoyed by all including friends from other Churches. The money raised from this went to the Padley Centre along with the harvest gifts.

Church Anniversary was celebrated on October 15th with Morning Service led by Peter Blount and the Evening Service led by Rev. Peter Barham (Vicar of St Edmunds Church). Also at the Evening Service were members of the choir who led the singing accompanied by their organist.

Members of the Church Congregation also joined with us. Coffee and cakes were served after both Services.

Forthcoming events are a:

Christmas Coffee Morning on November 25th from 10 a.m. to 12.00 noon.Proceeds for Church Funds and the Derby Night Shelter.

Carol Service on December 3rd at 4 p.m. led by Rev Helen White followed by tea.

Carols by Candle light on Thursday December 14th at 7.30 p.m. Led by Rev Helen White.

We ask you to continue praying for our congregation, many getting on in years but still giving their support in whatever way they can, some unable to come now but still supporting us in prayer.

Since the last e-letter we have had Christmas Events with a Carols by Fairy lights on December 15th led by Rev Helen White followed by Coffee and Mince Pies in the schoolroom. We had people come who had read it in the Allestree Life magazine so it does pay to advertise.

Friendly Circle went out for their Christmas meal, this year we went to Findern Garden Centre where we had a very pleasant time.

Bible Study and Friendly Circle continue to flourish. On April 4th we have Mrs Sue Nickson (District President of MWIB) coming to speak to us and you are welcome to come and join us.

Cameo is struggling with numbers and we have reached the time when we have to consider the future of it continuing or taking a different format or time.

Future events we have planned are:-

July 15th Summer Fair.

Harvest Festival September 16th Bugs and Spuds.

Please pray for our congregation, many getting on in years but still giving their support in whatever way they can, some unable to come now but still supporting us in prayer.
