Messy Church

Messy Church at Chellaston Methodist Church

Messy Church is an outreach for adults and children. It is based on creativity, hospitality and celebration.

Our Messy Church takes place on the last Thursday of every month, 3.45pm till 5.45pm (Not in August and December).

Messy Church involves arts/crafts, fun/games, worship songs/celebration and a meal together.

Each month we have a religious theme which is the basis for our crafts and worship.

3.45pm-4.00pm – Welcome / drinks and starter craft in church

4.00pm-5.00pm – An array of different ‘Messy’ crafts to get involved in, in our school room. All crafts can be taken home at the end of the day.

5.00pm-5.20pm – Active worship and celebration in church with Rev. Jenny Dyer.

5.20pm-5.45pm – Meal together in our school room. Different meal each month.

5.45pm – End of our event.

Everyone is welcome to attend Messy Church. Messy Church is free but we welcome donations to continue our outreach to the community of Chellaston. All donations received go towards the purchasing of craft and food for our events each month.
