On the 20th January 2009 for six days, Ashbourne Road Methodist/United Reformed Church (corner of Colvile Street, Derby.), will be hosting a 'Life' Exhibition. It is being held for six days, when during the day only invited school classes with children aged 9-11 are brought to the exhibition by a laid-on bus. It's only in the evening when Sunday Schools, clubs, groups, families, adults etc. can experience it.
The Life Exhibition is a very professional, unique, mobile exhibition developed by Counties, a UK based Christian charity that's committed to make Christianity understandable and relevent in the 21st century. It presents the life of Jesus, His Jewish roots, His teaching and miracles, His death, burial and resurrection, using a mixture of graphic panels and the latest technology to communicate the relevance of Jesus Christ to all ages with a specific programme designed for Primary Schools.

Visitors will be shown how easy it is to operate and use the hand-held PDA computers as they move through the different areas of the exhibition. Video, music, commentary and questions will be presented on the hand-held PDA screen, and visitors will receive a computer printout with feedback on what they have seen and heard. After this visitors can spend time in the Life cafe, finding out more and enjoying refreshments.
We had this exhibition two years ago and over 900 school children came through the doors! Teachers and childrens' written comments afterwards contained words 'WOW' and Awesome' to name but two! Another 150 folk also came in the evening.
This Life project event is sponsored and supported by Derby City Mission, Counties, Destiny for Kids, Derby kids for Christ, and partners with the local churches. Entrance is free.
