Short services of  Morning and Evening Prayer adapted from a variety of sources by David Owen including The Methodist Worship Book and The Benedictine Prayer Book amongst others. They offer a structured way to hold short services each morning and evening, either by yourself or with others, and with some variety. They can also be used in conjunction with The Methodist Prayer Handbook.

8.10am – BBC Radio 4 – Cities of Promise – A Place for Good News – On the eve of St Andrew’s Day theologian and scholar of Celtic Christianity Gilbert Markus, and parish spiritual director Anne Buhrmann, reflect on a vision of the heavenly city.

10.30am – BBC1 East Midlands – First Sunday of Advent – The Very Rev Dr Paul Shackerley leads a service for the first Sunday of Advent from Brecon Cathedral in Wales.

Wednesday

3.30pm BBC Radio 3 – Choral Evensong live from Salisbury Cathedral, with music by Dyson, Britten and Dupré.
